Arte Ceramica Ilha de marajo.
Icoaraci ceramica no Belem de Para,chegando dos Indios tradicion do Ilha marajo,ceramica marajoara,very interesting in all senses as refelects the architecture of Belem as well, in terms of the decoration on the large vessells,sgraffito,Greek key design,Egyptian influenced,incised decoration,and looking at various buildings in Belem(Bethlehem) you can see a synergy there between the ceramics and the architecture-fascinating.

The ceramic from the island was finished before the discovery of the americas, most of it although looks like universal symbols can still not be prooved as influenced by any other cultures, although a lot of primitive ceramics has sooo much similarities with ancient chinese ceramics the link is not cientificly proven, that however just enphasize the theory that ceramics are an universal art.
In Europe there is only one museum with a collection of original Marajoara Ceramics, which is in Bacelona, once I read a book about it, it was facisnating.
